PARENT SCALES
Heptatonic scales come in groups of seven modes, called a "Modal Class"
One of these modes can be selected as the "Parent Scale" to aid learning!

SCALE INVERSIONS
Each scale, when reversed, is another scale!
This concept is related to Parent Scales and Negative Harmony.
Six heptatonic scales (without an interval greater than an augmented 2nd / three semitones) are palindromic (self-inverse) .
The six self-inverse scales are created by the six tetrachords with a Perfect 4th.
